Fomer Equal Vision Recordings artists and Boston favorties The Hope Conspiracy, who have been relatively slient during 2005, are now in process of writing a new album. Since the Hope Con silence Vocalist Kevin Baker took a shot with Tim Bomb (American Nightmare) at the hard rock and a band The Bars, taken up shop at the Bridge 9 funded Sully's T's while HC other members have bounced to around the area looking for work. The group will begin recording the record around the new year, and the album will see the racks is 2006.

The record industry trend these days is to re-release a record when the bands efforts start popping on the charts. Rucker's World

Panic in the streets of Boston! Ramallah Returns!

I have some refreshing news coming from the BHC scene. Panic featuring former and current members of The Trouble, American Nightmare and The Explosion are getting it back together for a CD EP/7 inch that they are planning on dropping in early 2006 on the European based Reflections Records.

Panic released two fabled EP’s on Boston’s own Bridge 9 before calling it quits in 2003. What has spurned the return? "I just want to make clear that we are back out of a desire to shred, not because we have some self-important agenda or egos that need feeding,”says guitar player Azy Relph. The band had such a good time playing a reunion show overseas that are getting down this winter to record. Look for the yet untitled EP for a CD EP/7inch to hit the streets in early 2006.

Rob Lind’s Ramllah have split with long time bass player Keith Bennet. Reasons have been undisclosed. Look out for a very non-hardcore keyboard player to be rolling with the crew for an upcoming tour. You can check out a sneak peak of the recently finished and very terrifying video for ‘The Horror and the Gag’. It was produced and directed by former Lind Blood for Blood teammate Ian McFarland who know finds solitude with his new company Killswitch Productions. The video is excepted to roll out next month but you can score a peak now at http://www.throprecords.com/. The new disc ‘Kill a Celebrity’ hits the trucks on October 11th.

Good to see the NEMO group once again stood up and respected the very respectable Boston hardcore/metal scene. The odd group of music industry upstarts over at the NEMO offices thought it would be cute to leave out the only respected national genre in Boston. The upcoming disastrous week of showcases will never be a SXSW or CMJ. I am sure at this point Converge (over 700k worldwide), Shadows Fall (350k + sales), Killswitch Engage (450K + sales) do not care. They are busy touring the world and being interviewed on MTV. The curse of Candace Avery is still alive and breathing in Boston.
